Fresh Air Chases the Diseases Away

Cold weather increases the number of upper respiratory tract infection cases such as common colds, flu, strep throat, and sinusitis. This is because in winter we tend to stay indoors where the air we breathe in is not clean, and crowded with people who have respiratory tract infections and spread the infection into the air by sneezing, coughing, and talking. Specialists advise letting some fresh air into indoors spaces regularly for 5 to 10 minutes once per hour to keep upper respiratory tract infections at bay.
