IT VISITS 7 OUT OF 100 THOUSAND WOMEN
Each year, 7 out of 100 thousand women suffer from ovarian cancer that shows no symptoms in early stage. Consequently, three women out of four sick women are in the progressed stage.
In the late stages symptoms are swollen abdomen, palpated mass, and depending on the organs affected, constipation, frequent urination, and shortness of breath. The cause of ovarian cancer is unknown in 80 percent of the patients, and only 20 percent of ovarian cancer cases have genetic causes.
Specialists say that especially older women who started having periods at younger ages and went through the menopause at older ages, and have no children are at more risk, and giving birth, breastfeeding, and using birth control pills can lower the risk.
