Colon Cancer Develops Silently
Genetic predisposition, intestinal polyps, high radiation exposure and environmental factors are among the causes of colon cancer, which is one of the most common cancer types in the world.
The most important criterion that brings success in the treatment of colon cancer, which develops in the region defined as the intestine among the people, is defined as early diagnosis. The development of colon cancer usually occurs through benign tumours, namely `adenomas`.
Along with environmental effects, living habits are other causes of colon cancer. The number of adenomas may increase with advancing age.
Since adenomas can develop silently for a long time, it is sometimes not easy to recognise the early signs of the disease.
For this reason, it should be kept in mind that it is possible to prevent this disease with regular endoscopic scans or to achieve successful treatment results by detecting it at an early stage.
