Your Problem May Be Fibromyalgia Syndrome
Fibromyalgia syndrome, which is the second most common disease among rheumatic diseases, is three times more common in women than in men and causes pain in the musculoskeletal system, fatigue, sleep, memory and mood problems.
Fibromyalgia syndrome, which is a chronic and highly complex problem, usually requires multidisciplinary treatment. Therefore, support from many branches other than psychologists and physiotherapists may be required.
Although fibromyalgia syndrome is not considered by the authorities as a cause of disability or a life-threatening disease, the fact that it paves the way for other diseases and reduces the quality of life makes its treatment compulsory.
The drugs used in its treatment are used to reduce pain, relieve fatigue, regulate sleep and treat depression.
Apart from these, local injections can also be applied on sensitive points. In physiotherapy applications, satisfactory results can be obtained with manual therapy, dry needle, hot application and massage.
