As Medline Hospitals, we believe that each individual has rights which need to be respected regardless of their age, race, religion, social, physical or mental status. All the rights of the patients and patient relatives who apply to our hospital will be respected and it will be expected that our patients fulfill the obligations determined.
Our purpose is;
- to ensure that the patients and patient relatives benefit from the quality and reliable healthcare services with their active contribution in the process,
- to assist for complete benefit from the healthcare services and to ensure that the Patient-Physician relation is based on trust, and thus to establish an efficient and reliable model,
- to support the patient-medical staff relation,
- to increase the efficiency of the healthcare service by providing disease and general health training for the patients and their relatives,
- to build reference mechanisms regarding patient rights and to establish internal control in the healthcare service medium, to create cooperation and communication opportunities between the people and institutions who get, provide or mediate the provision of healthcare services and to reinforce the existing cooperations and communications.

- Right To Benefit From The ServicesAç / Kapat
- All our patients who apply to our hospital and their relatives are entitled to benefit from all our treatment and care services regardless of race, religion, language, sex, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, ideas, social characteristics and legal payment resource.
- Our patients are entitled to choose their physician and/or healthcare institution and to change them at any stage of the treatment.
- Our patients are entitled to act within the framework of the local laws and regulation in matters like organ transplantation or experimental research.
- If they request, our patients are entitled to obtain information regarding the preventive health services free of charge.
- All our patients are entitled to request their pains to be assessed and treated, to obtain information regarding the treatment methods of their cause of pain, and to request to be relieved from their pain.
- Medline Hospital security team provides the property and life security of our patients. In patient rooms there are encrypted, locked safe boxes where our patients may store their valuable properties. Our outpatient clinic patients may consign their valuable articles to the security unit. If they request, our patients are entitled to request additional security providing that they defray the relevant cost.
- Right to InformationAç / Kapat
- The patients, who get service from Medline Hospitals, and their relatives are entitled to review the records and request information regarding the diagnosis and treatment processes and the course of the treatment as well as their medical condition providing that it is in compliance with the laws.
- The patients and their relatives are entitled to benefit from the healthcare service as long as necessary, to be informed about the follow-up process, to participate in and to understand the decisions to be made.
- All patients and their relatives are entitled to be a part of the treatment administered to them and to participate in the decisions about care. Our patients are entitled to obtain information regarding the hospital rules and implementations to be applied. The patient or the patient relative assigned by the patient may access the details of the invoice(s).
- When the patients, who get healthcare services, and their relatives are requested to participate a research, they are entitled to obtain information regarding the research and to reject to participate if they do not want to. In research and educational studies, the credentials of the patient may not be disclosed without the consent of the patient.
- Right to CommunicateAç / Kapat
Providing that it may be supplied and the patient compensates, a patient who does not understand the official spoken language is entitle to request a translator for communication purposes.
- Right of ConsentAç / Kapat
- The patients who get healthcare services from Medline Hospitals and their relatives are entitled to obtain information regarding the diagnosis of the disease, existing treatment options and their success possibilities, possible cost of the treatment, course of the disease and possible complications except for the medical and legal obligations and to participate in the decision about the treatment. Our patients are entitled to confirm that they used this right and thus they are considered to accept the routine procedures to be performed according to the approval.
- In cases where it would take a long time to obtain consent of the guardian or the court and if the life or a vital organ of the patient would be at risk unless immediately intervened, the consent is not stipulated.
- The withdrawal of the consent refers to the rejection of the treatment by the patient. The consent may be obtained after starting the procedure only provided that there is a medical inconveniences.
- In cases where our patients do not have a guardian and where the recommended intervention is urgent, the medical intervention may be performed without obtaining approval.
- Our patients are entitled to reject the recommended treatment.
- As long as the medical condition of the patient is suitable, he/she is entitled to object the treatment or the medical intervention or to object the continuation by changing his/her mind during the treatment process.
- All possible incidents which may occur in case of rejecting the treatment are explained by the physician and a written document indicating that the explanations are understood is taken. Once our patients reject the treatment in writing, they are discharged from our hospital. Our patient who previously rejected the treatment but later applied to our hospital again is entitled to obtain the necessary medical care and treatment.
- The personnel in charge in our institution may not reproach or imply anything regarding the previous rejection of the patient.
- Right to Free ElectionAç / Kapat
- Patients who obtain service at Medline Hospitals and their relatives are entitled to know, to be informed and to choose the services and opportunities from which they may benefit and the people and institutions from whom they may receive help regarding their medical condition.
- The patient and his/her relatives are entitled to learn about the duties and titles of all people directly related to the patient`s care and to choose among them, if possible.
- Once the patient and his/her relatives are informed about the medical care and the treatment, they are entitled to accept or reject the recommended treatment and to obtain service within the framework determined by themselves.
- The patient and his/her relatives are entitled to obtain a second opinion within or outside the institution without having a concern that it will affect their care in a negative manner.
- Medline Hospitals staff cooperate with the patients and their relatives to find the care and treatment procedure that will not conflict with the preferences of the patient.
- Right to Know the IdentityAç / Kapat
Our patients are entitled to know the identities and the responsibilities of all the personnel with whom they are in relation.

- Our patients are entitled to request environments at all locations where they obtain service which will ensure audio-visual privacy.
- Our patients are entitled to trust that all examinations, care and treatment and procedures will be performed in a private environment and that their medical information will remain confidential.
- Our patients are entitled to reject to talk to or see people who are not directly related to their treatment including the visitors.
- A security system which prevents others except for the authorized personnel from accessing the patient records is built.
- Our patients are entitled to have their medical information protected even after their death. These information are disclosed upon the patients` or their explicit consent or according to legal obligations. Unless there is a medical and legal requirement and it is permitted, our patient is entitled not to provide information to third parties regarding his/her private and family life for any reason.

- Our patients and their relatives are entitled to obtain service in an environment where their individual reputations are protected, which is respectful, kind, tender, cheerful and where noise and all disturbing factors are eliminated at all times and under any circumstances.
- Medline Hospitals treats all their patients, particularly those who are about to reach the end of their lives, respectfully and kindly. The patient relatives are entitled to request their patients who are about to reach the end of their lives to be treated respectfully and kindly.
- Medline Hospitals staff does not use statements which judge or underestimate the values, beliefs and decisions of the patients while providing healthcare service.
- Our patients are entitled to wear specific clothes within the framework of the laws and the hospital rules as long as these clothes do not hinder the diagnosis procedures and the treatment.
- Right to be Protected Against Physical AssaultAç / Kapat
Babies, infants, elders and the patients who may not protect themselves very well or none at all obtaining service from Private Medline Hospitals are entitled to have the unidentified people checked and to have the distant or isolated areas of the institution monitored in order to be protected from physical assaults.
- Right to Benefit From Religious ServicesAç / Kapat
- Our patients are entitled to benefit from the religious services within the framework of hospital rules without violating the rights of other patients and their relatives.
- If it may be supplied, the patient and/or his/her relative is entitles to bring a religious official according to the patient`s religious requirements upon his/her request.
- Right to Visit and AccompanyAç / Kapat
- Our patients are entitled to have an attendant and to be visited within the framework of the physician`s decision and the hospital rules if it is medically suitable.
- During the examination and the treatment the patient may have an attendant to assist him/her according to the laws and rules, to the extent the medical condition of the patient allows and if the physician responsible for the treatment finds suitable.
- Right to Avoid From Pain and DistressAç / Kapat
Medline Hospitals are particular about the accurate evaluation of their patients` pain and treatment. Each individual is entitled to be protected from pain and distress insofar as possible at every stage of his/her disease.

Our patients and their relatives are entitled to report their complaints about the medical care they obtain and the treatment process and to request a response.
- Organ and Tissue DonationAç / Kapat
Our hospital does not perform organ and tissue transplantation procedures. However, we are assisting those who want to donate organ and tissue and direct them to proper places. Our patients and their relatives are entitled to ask for help regarding organ and tissue donation.
